My way to Saxony

My name is Quosain and I come from Pakistan. I speak Urdu, Shina, English and am currently learning German. After finishing school in Pakistan, I received the "Stipendium Hungaricum" scholarship, which enabled me to study for a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in Hungary. My time there gave me valuable intercultural experience as well as an academic education. After graduating, I moved to Germany to study for a Master's degree in Nanoelectronics Systems. My desire to succeed academically and gain access to quality education motivated my decision to study abroad. I viewed studying in the West as a significant step towards realizing my goals - especially given Germany's reputation for innovation and technological excellence. My previous studies in Europe made my integration and transition into academic life in Germany much easier.

How Saxony convinced me

My decision to move to Saxony was initially influenced by the exciting nanoelectronics program at TU Dresden. When I arrived, my expectations were not only met, but exceeded. Initially, I was a little worried about finding part-time jobs as an English-speaking student, but upon arrival I discovered several opportunities for working student positions in my field. In addition, Saxony offered me great opportunities - including a semester abroad and an internship at TSMC. I am very grateful for these enriching experiences.

My tip: Good career prospects in the semiconductor industry in Saxony

I can highly recommend international students to study and work in Saxony - especially those who are interested in working in the semiconductor industry, as there are many job opportunities in this field. In addition, the natural beauty and tranquility of Saxony provides an excellent environment for living, learning and working.
