Saxony supports start-ups with various subsidies. These include low-interest loans, guarantees and grants. It is important that you find out about funding opportunities before registering your business.

  • The Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) offers financial advice for start-ups.
  • Information on funding programs of the Free State of Saxony can be found in the FÖMISAX funding database.
  • The Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB) supports start-ups with favorable loans, start-up bonuses and grants for advice on legal or business management issues.
  • The Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Climate Protection (SMWA) provides an overview of current funding programs and competitions at Gründen in Sachsen.

  • The Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (SBG) advises on investments that can reduce the financial risk for founders. Co-investors act as capital providers - they support innovative companies and, if successful, receive a return instead of a direct repayment.
