Sharing offers allow you to use vehicles flexibly - without your own running costs or a fixed parking space.

In many Saxon cities, cars, bicycles, e-bikes, cargo bikes and e-scooters can be shared. The vehicles are located at fixed stations or freely available in the city area and are usually booked via an app. Information on the offers can be found at the cities, municipalities or transport companies.
Car sharing
In Saxony, there is car sharing with fixed stations or as flexible offers (free-floating car sharing), where cars are freely available in the urban area. The costs depend on driving time, distance, vehicle type and tariff. Many providers have a monthly basic price. Fuel is usually included in the price. A fuel card is available for refueling. You have to register via the app to use it. Check the terms and conditions carefully - especially the amount of the excess in the event of damage.
E-scooter
E-scooters are a good alternative for short distances. You can use an app to find the nearest scooter and park it at your destination. You need a supported payment option. There is a rental fee and a cost per minute of use. A driving license is not required. Only one person per scooter is allowed to ride. You must ride on cycle paths or the road and observe the traffic regulations in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO).
Bicycles, e-bikes, cargo bikes
Bicycles, e-bikes and cargo bikes can also be rented. You can find information from towns, municipalities or transport companies. In Freiberg there is the SteigtUM project. Here you can hire electric cargo bikes and test the system at the same time.
