Travel within Germany and Europe
With your residence permit, you can travel within Saxony and Germany without any problems. If you are traveling outside Germany, you should check whether you need a visa for your destination and whether your passport and residence permit are valid. You can obtain clarification from the German diplomatic mission in your home country or from your local immigration office.
The following applies to Schengen states: If you are working or studying in Germany, you may stay there for up to 90 days. Always carry your valid travel documents with you. If you have a fictitious certificate, ask your foreigners authority where you are allowed to travel with it.
Border controls
There are no permanent border controls within Europe. However, random checks may take place, both when entering and leaving the country. You should therefore allow sufficient time and always carry your travel documents with you.
